OUR PASTOR

David Conrad is the pastor of the Wrightwood Community United
Methodist Church. He has been here since 2007. David grew up in
Orange County, living most of his life in Buena Park. While at a summer
camp at the age of 12, David received Jesus Christ as his savior. He
graduated from Savanna High School in 1971. Going to the beach and
playing sports was his favorite pastimes.

 

David entered the Air Force in 1974 and became a dental assistant.
While in the service, David came back to Christ.  He left the service with
an Honorable Discharge to enter the ministry in 1977.

David earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Cal State San Bernardino
in 1987. In 1990 he began attending Fuller Seminary where he received
a Master of Divinity Degree in 1994.

 

David was Ordained as a Deacon in the UMC in 1996 and then as an
Elder in the UMC in 2001

 

David served churches in Victorville (staff position), Brawley as their
pastor  (1994-2002)" Inyokern and Trona as their pastor (2004-2001)
before coming to Wrightwood as pastor in 2007.

Dave is happily married to Susan. They were married in 1997 while in
Brawley.

 

Pastor Dave has a passion for sharing the 'Gospel of Jesus Christ with
those both inside the church and beyond the walls of the church. He
enjoys helping people grow deeper in the faith.

  • to worship,and share the Bible in celebration in word, in song, and in deeds

  • to encourage prayer

  • to embrace the Sacraments of Communion and Baptism

  • to minister to all within the church, the community and throughout God's kingdom

  • to actively support missionary work

  • to show compasssion to all

  • to do this with "Open Hearts, Open Minds, Open Doors"
